About Course

This course names what neurodivergent parenting actually involves – the midnight research, the relentless advocacy, the constant translation of your child to a world that was not built for them – and refuses to minimise any of it. You will learn why this load is so specific and so heavy, why standard parenting communities often cannot reach you, and how to move from white-knuckling through it alone toward something that actually feels like support. This is a course for parents who are tired of being told they are doing great when what they actually need is to be genuinely seen.

What Will You Learn?

  • Name the specific components of your invisible load - including research, coordination, advocacy, emotional labour, and system navigation - so you can stop minimising what you carry
  • Explain to partners, family members, and professionals what neurodivergent parenting actually involves, using language that invites understanding rather than defensiveness
  • Identify the people in your life who drain your capacity versus those who restore it, and make deliberate choices about where your limited energy goes
  • Recognise the specific kind of isolation that neurodivergent parenting creates - including the 'but he seems fine' problem - and understand why it is not fixed by ordinary parenting communities
  • Find or build a community of parents who genuinely understand your experience, whether locally, online, or through structured peer support
  • Ask for what you need from partners, extended family, schools, and allied health professionals without defaulting to over-explaining or apologising
  • Distinguish between surviving and being genuinely supported - and take one concrete, realistic step toward the latter
  • Create a simple support map that shows where your help is currently coming from and where the gaps are that you can begin to address
